随着澳洲国门的逐步开放，越来越多的同学们选择了回澳参加面授课程(With the gradual opening of Australia, more and more students choose to return to Australia to participate in face-to-face courses)，需要大家记住的日子也越来越多。例如，核酸检测需要在入境前72小时做，第二针疫苗打完至少7天以后才可以入境等等。

　　然而，还有两个跟我们息息相关的日期，大家一定不要忽略，那就是选课和退课的截止日期(There are also two dates closely related to us, which we must not ignore, that is, the deadline for course selection and withdrawal)，这两个日期并不在同一天，对我们学习计划和签证的影响也各不相同。下面以UNSW为例说明!

　　选课与注册时间

　　首先，我们会遇到Enrolment deadline，也就是选课、注册课程的截止日期，大家可以在学校的‘Enrolment dates’或者‘Study dates’里找到即将开始的学期Enrolment deadline。

　　通常为正式开课后的一到两周左右，超过这个时间，如果还想继续添加注册课程，则需要跟学校申请Late enroll(After this time, if you want to continue to add registered courses, you need to apply for late enroll with the school)，提交没能在规定时间内及时Enroll的原因(通常为不可抗力原因)，获得学校批准以后，才可以继续进Enroll。

　　对于我们国际留学生而言，学生签证规定我们需要在一个学年里Enroll够48个学分的课程(The student visa stipulates that we need to enroll 48 credit courses in one academic year)，如果我们因为特殊原因，想要在某个学期多修或者少修课程，则需要提前跟学校申请Overloading或者Under loading。

　　当我们的Overloading或者Under loading获批之后，对应的课程时长可能就无法跟之前的学生签证匹配(The corresponding course duration may not match the previous student visa)，需要进行续签或者跟移民局更新，

　　Census Date

　　第二个重要日期就是退课的截止日期，Census date了。如果开课了一段时间，大家觉得自己选的某一门课不适合自己(If the class starts for a period of time, everyone feels that a course they choose is not suitable for themselves)，或者自己最近的状态不适合继续学习，那么Census date就是你可以在没有学术和经济损失的前提下Withdraw课程的最后一天。

　　也就是说，如果你是在Census date之前提出了Withdraw申请，则无需支付这门课的学费(If you applied for withdraw before census date, you don‘t need to pay for this course)，这门课的成绩也不会出现在你最终的成绩单上，在计算整体平均分的时候，这门课的分数也不会被算在其中。

　　每个大学，甚至同一个学校的不同专业的Census date都会不尽相同，有打算要Withdraw课程的同学一定要注意查看好自己所在专业的Census date。

　　一般来说，每门课的“Handbook”上可以查找到Census date;或者登录本校的Student online portal，进入自己的学生登录界面以后，在“Enrolment”功能下可以查找到Census date。

　　退课时间

　　如果超过了Census date，我们依然想退课，那么还有两个时间点需要注意(If we still want to drop out after the census date, there are two time points to pay attention to)，其中一个日期是会产生学费损失，但是不会产生学术损失的日期，在此日期之前退课，依然需要交纳这门课的学费，但是这门课的成绩不会出现在最终成绩单上，在计算整体平均分的时候，这门课的分数也不会被计算在内(When calculating the overall average score, the score of this course will not be included)。

　　最后一个可以退课的日期则是该学期的最后一天，在此之前大家都还可以进行退课(The last day you can drop out is the last day of the semester. Before that, you can drop out)，但是到了这个日子的时候，我们不仅要全额支付这门课的学费，这门课的成绩也会出现在我们的成绩单上，不过通常不影响最终平均分的计算(However, it usually does not affect the calculation of the final average score)。
